Getting to Know You: We will spend time with you to listen and understand your likes and dislikes while
evaluating your landscape needs. We will do a walk through together and discover what your vision is for
your home. We want to know what plants you want, what colors you like, and will make suggestions that
will enhance your landscape. We will take measurements and digital pictures and ask for a plot plan of
your lot. From these discussions, surveys, and other information we get from you, we can begin the design
itself.
Design: Once we have the information we need from our first meeting, the design process begins. We
will begin to create a computer model of your home using the design elements you told us you wanted.
After this is done, we will meet with you again to show you the results.
Show and Tell: Here is where you will begin to see for the first time your vision of your home in the midst
of the plants and designs we have chosen together. You will still be able to make changes in your design.
We will share with you the estimated cost of the computer design, a scale-drawing, and plant folder. Once
we have an agreement from you to proceed, one-half of the estimated design fee is due. We will then
create a detailed scale-drawing of your design and create a booklet of the plants you have chosen for your
home.
The Final Plan and Cost Estimate: On our return to your home with the computer design, the
scale-drawing, and plant book, we will provide you with a final cost estimate for the installation of the
design. If you choose Nature's Canvas to install the design, the remaining one-half of the design fee still
owed will be credited to the final cost of the installation fee. If you choose to use another installer, or if you
wish to install the plants yourself, the designs will be given to you once the remaining design fee is paid.
Scheduling: If you want us to install the design we have created, we will schedule your job as soon as
possible, weather permitting. One-half of the installation fee is due at this time, with the remaining half due
at completion. Of course, if you want us to install the design over a period of months or seasons, we will be
happy to do so. The fee will remain the same, although you can pay it out as the work is completed.
Installation: This is the fun part. You will soon find us on our hands and knees digging in the dirt, or
shuffling hardscape boulders to that just right position. Before you know it, your landscape design will
become a reality. We will leave the site clean and tidy.
Follow-up: Once you have approved the installation, and after all fees are paid, we will finish the job by
giving you tips on keeping your plants healthy and vibrant. If you want, we can provide monthly or quarterly
maintenance services. If you have problems with an unhealthy plant or questions, or want to plan for your
next landscape project, we are there for you.
