Nature’s Canvas L.L.C. grew out of Raylene and Paula’s frustration with overgrown flowerbeds, trees placed
too close to houses, flowers that don’t grow well where they were planted, and the standard three-plants-and-
a-tree approach that seems to be the norm in their area. Starting with their mutual passion for a well-turned
Chamaecyparis pisifera , extensive courses in horticulture science and design, and their eye for color,
forming their own company seemed natural. They embrace computer technology as much as they can, but
they still like to get their hands dirty on every job. They are a boutique company – not a franchise, not a
conglomerate, and not just “three-guys-with-a-truck-that-used-to- mow-lawns-but-decided-to-be-landscapers".
(Although they do have a pickup.) They offer personalized, custom landscape services for residential and
commercial customers in the greater Tulsa area.
